The Skills for Life Improvement Programme can help you refresh
and strengthen practice to ensure learners engage, progress and
achieve. From September 2008 support is available to you if
you are an education or training provider and wish to develop your
literacy, language and numeracy provision. There will be a
particular emphasis on numeracy to reflect this national
priority.
The support
will focus on helping you to develop a whole organisation approach to embedding
Skills for Life
“where literacy, language and numeracy is central to the whole
organisation at all levels, ranging from strategic leadership and
management to delivery practice. This includes embedding literacy,
language and numeracy skills development in vocational and other
learning.”
