Professional support sessions and network events

The Improvement Programme in 2008/09 has a special focus on the development of integrated and partly integrated literacy, numeracy and ESOL teacher training programmes.  It offers help through professional exchange networks, arranged in collaboration with regional colleagues, and a series of professional support sessions.

Professional support sessions

There will be a series of sessions throughout the year on a range of topics. They will be held in the South West, London and the South East, the Northern and Central areas of England and will be open to colleagues from any region.

Network events

We will hold and contribute to teacher educator and trainer events on topics and issues relating to literacy, numeracy and ESOL teacher training and professional development.
